Types of Therapy

Tonight, I am going to cuddle with my pillow and sleep. Hugging it with both arms and pressing my chin into the refreshing white pillow. With calmness, I rolled onto my back.

Managing mouth leaks and fitting the mask over my nose. Thanks to my CPAP for my wonderful sleep therapy each night. Pulling on the head and chin straps I take two long breaths.

I am closing my eyes and imagining. What if? Tomorrow I will have a great day. I like to do something special. My wife’s birthday is four days away. She is treasured; I wonder what she thinks. I roll over to her side and pushing my six foot CPAP tubing out of the way.

With my eyes closed, I reached over touching her forehead and imagined her eyes still shining like stars. Always with a positive attitude and optimism. In handling all the ups and downs that life brings. Thank you for the beautiful and amazing days. “Love you.”

I move to change sides — the left side facing my CPAP. Still cuddling with my pillow and adding an extra flat pillow between my knees, to relieve pain and a more restful night. After seven hours of sleep, I wake up. Thank you, God, for another blessed day.

The first thing I do when I wake up. Is to brush my teeth and take a shower. Get dressed up and ready for the day.

Next, make a cup of coffee and company it with sweetheart assorted cookies. Sometimes, a piece of toast with peanut butter. Sit on my recliner and read social media, emails, and texts.

While waiting for the queen to come down for her cup of coffee. I do meditation focusing on breathing. It helps me with positive thoughts and self-talk.

Wow, I didn’t do anything today. Tomorrow will be Pandora moments. My queen will get some charms for her bracelet.
